As I posted before, I am moving back up to the northern part of Georgia.
My company has asked me to start and run a branch of Always Care Nursing Service up there for them. It would be sort of my own business; and I would get 50% of all profits, so I have the potential to make a good bit of money if I work hard to generate clients.
The only thing is my start up cost. It is expensive to start your own business.
So…give me office supplies.
Boss: “Youre such a good….little person!”
Sorry I havent posted anything in a long time, dear readers. I just havent really felt like it. Nothing is wrong or anything, I just havent thought of anything to write about or seen anything funny enough to post. But I also havent been paying that much attention. Ive been busy with work (on call this week, ugh), and general other stuff. I havent forgotten about anybody though. If you want to communicate with me, I am on facebook a lot, since its “safe for work”.
Anyways, as kind of an update, things are going just fine for the most part. There has been a few family issues, but they have mostly been resolved. We are going to North Georgia/Chattanooga area more frequently because of it, so anybody who is up there that wants to hang out, let me know.
Work is going well; Im pretty much the Director of Nursing now, because the current one is trying to hand it over to me so she can retire. Its a big responsibility. The whole job is really, but I can mostly handle it. I have to do a lot of tasks that Im not experienced in, but am learning quickly to do, such as billing, dealing with insurance companies, employee discipline, and firing people of course. I had to go to a state required Medicaid meeting with the Vice President, monday. It was in Macon, GA which is about 2 hours from us, and the meeting and the drive were AWFUL. The vice president isnt bad though. He bought me mexican food for lunch. lol.
Pepe is doing well; he is just really big and tall. He weighs 10.9 pounds now. He had to go to the vet last week, as he had a terrible ear infection. It was so bad and swollen in his ear that he had to get an anti-inflammatory shot in his behind. He’s pretty much a terror, which is common for puppies. He’s almost a year old though; his 1st birthday is December 12. I think I’ll have him a birthday party. He still eats everything; his new favorite things to chew and eat are my clothes hangers and the corner of the futon. The corner of our wood framed futon is completely gone. He loves to eat wood.
For those of you who dont know, I got really fat in college. I talked to my doctor about it, and Ive started a new diet today, actually. It is called Medi-fast. Its expensive, so I hope it works. I dont think my doctor would recommend it to me if it didnt work and wasnt medically safe, so I am trusting her. She said she has a patient with about the same weight as me, and she started the Medifast diet and since March, has lost 70 pounds. That would be awesome. Its kinda but not at all like Atkins; my diet is high in protein, and low in carbs, so your body burns the fat for energy, instead of carbs, since there isnt any. This diet though has a small amount of carbs, so it isnt as bad as Atkins. It is called the “5 and 1″ plan, which means I have 5 small meals throughout the day that are made by the company (they are not really “meals” as you’d normally think, each “meal” is like a 7 oz. protein shake, 7oz soup, a little protein bar, etc) and then one “lean and green” meal. The lean and green meal consists of a lean meat containing 6 or less carbs, and a green vegetable that is low in carbs, such as a salad (with low carb dressing of course), green beans, etc. Today is my first day and Ive done really well so far. I have stuck exactly to the plan and didnt eat any day-after-halloween-candy or anything. You should be proud of me.
Anyways, say hi to me if you want on facebook or by email if you miss me. I will try to update more often.
I got a new title to go with Nurse Supervisor at work. I am now the Hiring Manager as well.
